The Java TimeZone Updater patch will always point to the latest Java TimeZone Updater.zip format and can contain multiple deliverables. They are not updated with the latest security patches and are not recommended nor supported for use in production. They contain the last patch update produced for that version and are provided to help developers debug issues in older systems. The Java SE patches include the latest (newest) patch update for each version.RPM files are signed effective with the following releases: Java SE 11.0.1, Java SE 8u181, Java SE 7u201. Patches for the Linux platform include *.tar.gz files for file-based installation and *.rpm files for installation with an RPM package manager.They do not include Java patches for Solaris packages (IPS and SVR4), which may be obtained from Document 1397756.1. However, for Solaris platforms, only file-based distributions are included. The Java SE patches included in this document contain JDK, JRE and if applicable, SERVER JRE distributions for all of the platforms certified for these versions.The difference is the installer is targeted to licensed customers, rather than the public, with simplified auto-update messaging, which avoids notices that do not apply to licensed customers. This build (b25) is equivalent to the publicly available build provided on OTN.
